I'm about to give some spare time to create a Blue Eye macro for farming Npcs in Evony.

Which resolution is the widely used for making the macro and which Internet Browser is the most popular for Evony ?

Looking forward to it.

What you could do is play the game in window mode, and always set the same window size/location.

For instance insert this in the beginning of your macro:
Code:
Function.Execute("Ensure window position")

And then just insert this function in the bottom of your macro:
Code:
function("Ensure window position")
     begin
          Window.Set location("window name", "yes", "1", "1")
          Window.Set size("window name", "yes", "900", "680")
          Window.Bring to front("window name", "yes")
          Macro.Pause("1000")
     end
function

And of cause replace "window name" with the exact name of the game window, and set the 900/680 size to some valid size.

This way all pixel patterns, color samples etc. will work across multiple resolutions, as long as the resolution is greater than the size you set in the "Set size" function.

One thing to keep in mind with browsers though is that people might have different plugins installed, and therefore have different coordinates inside the window.
So perhaps a browser like Chrome would be to prefer, because its usually less cluttered with a bunch of useless plugins like Internet Explorer always is :)

Good luck on the macros, and feel free to ask if you run in to any problems.

Maybe this is a silly question and will reveal my lack of knowledge on screen resolutions, but here goes. Is it not at all possible to apply relative positions on a screen instead of absolute positions?. Like top 20%, left %15, which means 20% from top and 20% procent from left?

Instead of answering that question, Ill consider that as a feature request :)

It is definitely a good idea. Ill look in to adding functionality to pass mouse instructions to coordinates relative to a window size and position, in percents.

This would only solve the issue for clicking or checking single pixel colors though, when ever a pixel pattern is used, it will still only work in the resolution it was generated in since the slightest change obviously breaks the pattern.

However for macros not using pixel patterns, but other functions like checking single pixels, object recognition etc, this feature would be very useful, and allow the macro to be shared between more people.

BE already has functions though for calculating relative coordinates based on absolute ones and vise versa, however these only consider the window location, not its size (which goes hand in hand with the resolution usually), so a way of converting percentages in to coordinates is a really good idea.

Thank you.

The Internet Browser of choice will be Google Chrome at window resolution 1024 x 768.

This is best to accommodate all computer users.
