Hi All,

i need your help in configuring my macro. so i'm currently doing data migration from excel to a different program so basically i am just copy pasting everything from point to point.

so im basically looking for 11 digit numbers only. what i want to do in macro is if the digit is less/more than 11 it will tell me other than that i want to know as well if it has a combination of letters and numbers.

what im doing now is it just copy paste everything and at the end of the migration it will say that cannot register as invalid number.

You should use regex for this; the regex instructions are under "file" in the documentation pages: viewforum.php?f=163

Depending on what program you are copying over to...I would probably copy it to a text file first, then use regex to provide the answers you are asking about. You can use a regular expression (regex) to count the number of lines, count how many have 11 digits, how many contain letters/numbers, and/or have it do it individually as you paste each line (have BEM paste each line).

You can do a forum search for regex to see some examples; also, getting a program like "regex buddy" will help you in writing the regular expressions or internet search for "regex 11 digit number" and the other expressions you were asking about.

Give it a try and let us know if you have more questions.

Here's an example:
