why you password ?

Why put up a script if you're going to put a password? Seems like you only want people that give you a specific thanks to use it. Using that reasoning, I should put a password on my VMWare guide as well as nona's.

I wouldn't recommend playing this game like he does; I deduct CP from any "thank you" received on this thread.

When I read the original post in Nov I was going to delete it, but I thought it may be better if the bot got shared. So, I decided then to just reduce his CP every time someone thanked him...this is because we are trying to promote a friendly community, not one based on greed and trying to circumvent or abuse the CP system. I downloaded it in Nov to review it and possibly award CP, but since it was password protected I couldn't...oh well, that was a lost opportunity for him.

If he would have just posted the bot for everyone to use, he would have probably gotten a free 6 month license. A 6 month license is the average amount of CP that between Gigus and I, we have been awarding lately for extremely helpful or original macros (I usually give 200CP and then Gigus comes behind me and awards double...an extra 400).

As Gigus stated in the rules for contribution points, "helpful users will always have enough CP for a new license." If your helpful, you will be rewarded. Where do you think all of the Lifetime Contributors come from? You can't buy that license, it's earned for being helpful. It's just given away - free - for being helpful. If you password protect your macros, your not being helpful...your being selfish. Sorry, no rewards for that. It's not being mean to him, it's being fair for all those in the BEM community.
