are we always need cheat engine to get the memory for hp?

Yes, CE is the best tool for locating base pointers - no point in competing with that :)

On the youtube video, at minute 1:18 why do you choose the last line instead of the the first four ?

In Crystal Saga, I have found the HP memory, I choose debugger to find which pointer is accessing it,

There are 5 lines, I choose the last one...

I got this

5A5F788F - nop
5A5F7890 - mov ebx,[esp+40]
5A5F7894 - mov eax,[edi]
5A5F7896 - add edi,04
5A5F7899 - mov [esp+1C],edi

Please help :(

I didn't know which one to grab, so I just tried one, if it hadn't worked out, I would have tried again with one of the other ones.
