Ah, yes indeed. Though the official Nexon page didn't say that itself at the time. I'll update that now.

What should I look out for?Well these days, NEXON wants to take a step up with their 'game' and add some bad twists here. Post-Ascension we have the following penalties: Nexon wrote: To prevent illicit actions using macro programs, when hunting monsters that have much lower levels, EXP obtained, mesos obtained and reward drop rates have been decreased. This system does not apply to the following monsters: All monsters Lv. 150 or higher Quest / event monsters Boss monsters, Master Monster Party-play-only monsters (Some of the monsters in Ellin Forest, Neo City, Lion King's Castle, Gate to the Future, and all monsters in Monster Park) Monsters that need to be applied with different features The EXP penalty that took place uniformly upon death has been changed. The penalty received now depends on the character's level. EXP Penalty - How this works is for every level you're over the monster's level, the meso/exp/drop rate will be decreased by 2% each time. For a maximum difference of 20 levels. (That's 40%). Yikes. My macro friends, don't let that discourage you one bit. You want to know why? Because as long as you create a macro (or if I do it, hah hah hah) that will take you back to town if you run out of pots, that will not be an issue now. While the newer servers tend to be empty, you should always practice caution and safety for your characters while you bot. A prime example here is what happened to our Blue Eye Macro EE PlayersAs for when I update the guide and make a huge revamp, that will depend on my current project and when I want to take a break. While you shouldn't expect much on when I'll drop by to give you the next chunk of code or an update on various macros I've done on the forums, you are always free to give me feedback or requests on what you want done (in general, not just for Maplestory. Just leave a new thread in the Request new games here). I believe that world tour places are also exempt from the drop rate deduction.

Glad people still have a thing for Maplestory. I'll get to fixing around the guide since Maplestory Ascension is out, as well as explain about the EXP Penalty (yeah, that's important!).

Ah no problem. You're also just in time as the developers on GMS by October, they'll rebalance and revamp skills and damages for Warriors, Magicians, and Archers based off the Maplestory Jump! Event from Korea. Warriors and Archers have more Mobility and Magicians have devastating attacks that makes them supreme again. Each of the three classes will have a couple of new attacks/buffs and damage boosts that makes the skills more worth it for your AP. For more information, check out Spadow's following blogs: WarriorArcherMagicianGlad you like it you two~
