Yeah I'm getting this error as well, been using it for 3 days now, and have never tried it before.
I assume it is something with the server?

yes, me too, since i am using it at new pc's and it should be free trial, and the bang!!!
cannot connect to licensing server :(

I dont think this matters its now a database most likely accessed through ip, so if your in the same ip your trial would still be expired, happened to me. anyway i havent had this problem at all maybe it something that only the trial members are experiencing.

i do not know how the BEM license system works, but yesterday i am able to used the BEM and it show i have 28 days more to used it before i have to pay.

Maybe it has been fixed already,but I am not experiencing this error.Just tried bem 3 times and it works.
