Hi fellow BE-Macroers!
Recently some antivirus-vendors have unfortunately flagged BE-Macro as being a virus which obviously is incorrect!
I am working on a permanent solution!
However for now, please setup exclusions in your Anti-virus software to keep it from preventing BE-Macro to start correctly. Note: BE-Macro may already have been moved to quarantine by your Antivirus software, which means the BE.exe file is currently missing from the installation directory, making it impossible to launch BE-Macro.
If this is the case for you, first add an exclusion rule for the entire BE-Macro install directory (by default that is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Blue Eye Macro) Then if necessary, restore the quarantined file(s) from inside your Antivirus software (probably only BE.exe).
You can now continue to use BE Macro as usual.
Tech-details: In case your wondering why BE-Macro has been incorrectly flagged as a Virus (Trojan), its most likely due to how BE-Macro is packed/protected. When BE-Macro is started, it loads its necessary code into memory, and starts executing this code from there.
This technique can be used to secure software from cracks and unwanted detection - however it is also a technique used by many virus makers, as it means any antivirus software will also be unable to upfront scan the content of the entire exe-file, as it includes (potentially encrypted) code, which will be loaded and executed upon runtime.
It is most likely due to this shared characteristic, that BE-Macro is for the moment incorrectly detected as a Virus.
I am sorry for the inconvenience, and hope it does not cause too many problems for you guys!
