There was no change. I have followed the steps carefully. I changed the sprite name with monster file name from RMS, applied the monster sprite via GRF Editor with my RO's data.grf. but still there was no change with the appearance of the monster kukre when I logged in after the changing the sprite. What am I missing? Help please. TIA.

game server may have different grf files which are prioriteze in initializing the files. in private server to prevent players from changing sprite they put sprites on gepard.grf.. or some have like name of the server example darkro.. they have dark.grf where they store thier custom made changes in the game..

Hi roan, Im wondering on how I can make BEM attack a certain monster if I cannot change its sprite?

You can do that by using the pattern of each monster you want to attack. Just get the pattern using the investigator tab.

I don't understand much about BEM, I was just looking for some kind of bot that just plugged it in and killed it and picked up the items on a map, is there something like that around here?

BEM is not a bot program, it can be used to program a macro that acts like a bot and does all this things you want it to do (kill monster, pick itens and walk, use itens etc) but you will have to change sprites and adapt some script to your computer specifications and preferences.

Here there is a guide that our member Roan explain how to use a macro in BEM to bot in ragnarok and all the things you need to do in order to work:

viewtopic.php?f=437&t=30450

As i said, BEM isn’t solely a “bot” program so it is not a plug and play thing, you can automate everything in your computer with it, even unrelated ragnarok things, but you will have to know HOW to do these things, thats where coding comes and you can learn a lot in the forum, especially in the documentation section : viewforum.php?f=12

Thanks for the info. I will try to learn more about this and hope I can apply it.

I’m sure you can apply it, BEM is designed to be very user friendly, even if you don’t have any coding experience you can definitely use it for basic stuff. If you have any doubt on how to use it we are here to help.
